My ideal teaching environment entails one whereby the children are provided a technological advantage via computer usage to reinforce needed reading, math, and other important skills for each quarter throughout the year. There would be necessary age-appropriate and effective, yet fun reading and math technology tools that'll entice the children to want to learn letter and number recognition, further motivate them to read, count, add, subtract, sing, spell, write, and more. The internet connection must also be there to broaden their social studies experience as they can learn and communicate with other children in different regions on different subjects they are learning. They can also strengthen their reading and writing skills, and enrich their multicultural experience, as they compose emails and communicate with their newfound-internet friends. As you can see, the very essence of integrating technology into the classroom instruction brings forth their creativity and expression even more conducively, thereby allowing them to think beyond the "outside-of-the box" realm. They will be motivated to come to school, to learn the knowledge needed in order for them to succeed in a multi-sensory fashion, to make new friends, both at school and abroad via the Internet, and to ultimately come to the realization that school is fun and that they can succeed!
